Sweet and Salty Very Nutty Pie

Ingredients

CRUST
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
½ cup plus 1 T shortening
¼ cup cold water

FILLING
3 large eggs
¾ cup Smucker€™s Simple Delight Salted Caramel Topping
½ cup sugar
¼ cup light corn syrup
2 T butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp sea salt
1 bag Milky Way unwrapped bites (7 oz)
1 can (10 oz) Honey Roasted Mixed Nuts, chopped

Directions

CRUST
In medium bowl stir together flour and salt. Using a pastry blender, cut in shortening until crumbly. Add water 1 T at a time, tossing with a fork until dough ball forms. On lightly floured surface, roll to fit 9-inch pie pan. Crimp edges as desired. Set aside.

FILLING
In a bowl, whisk the eggs, topping, sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla and salt. Gently fold in Milky Way Bites. Pour into prepared pastry shell. Top with chopped nuts. Cover edges with foil or pie protector. Bake in 400°F oven for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and continue baking for 20-25 minutes or until filling is almost set. Cool on wire rack to room temperature, than refrigerate until ready to serve. Garnish as desired. Serves 6-8
