Ingredients
Crust:
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup Crisco shortening (cold)
5-7 tablespoon cold water
Filling:
1 cup Chai Tea
¾ cups Apple Cider
1 ¼ cup sugar
1 ½ lbs pink lady apples
1 ½ lbs fuji apples
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon ginger
Pinch of nutmeg
Pinch of all spice
2 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoon unsalted butter
Directions
Crust:
In medium bowl, combine flour and salt. Using pastry blender cut in the Crisco until particles are size of small peas. Sprinkle flour mixture with water, 1 tablespoon at a time, with a fork. Add water until dough is just moist enough to hold together. Form the dough into 2 balls, place on floured surface. Flatten each ball into a disc, wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour.
